Japan Tour and Other Upcoming Events

At the Kōshōji Temple in 2017

This weekend, we are heading to Fort Wayne, Indiana and performing in its annual Cherry Blossom Festival. We haven’t been back there since 2017 and are very excited to reconnect with our friends. The festival has grown over the years and has become a prominent cultural event in the region. We hope to see you there!

After our trip to the Midwest, we are flying to Japan for our annual Japan tour. Last year’s tour was canceled because we contracted COVID days after we arrived in Japan. Our last performance in the country was in 2019, and we can’t wait to be back and play our new repertoire, which includes highlights from Daron Hagen’s Heike Quinto, a wonderful new shamisen/cello duo by Hiroya Miura (read the review here) and a rarely played but important work by the esteemed Japanese composer, Yutaka Makino for koto and cello.

Some of the highlights of the tour are the concert at the beautiful and historic Kōshōji Temple in Kyoto, Otowaza concert series at the Former Residence of Tanaka Family – another historic site in Saitama Prefecture that was built in the early 20th century, and (last but not least!) our recital at the Tokyo Concerts Lab. We are performing at the Former Residence of Tanaka Family and Tokyo Concerts Lab for the first time, so if you already have came to our concerts but would like to hear us in a different setting, please stop by.
